SECOND ROUND WIZARDS
Five teams that made it to the Sweet Sixteen that were not one of the top four seeds of each region. Those teams were #13 Ohio, #11 North Carolina State, #10 Xavier, #7 Florida, and #6 Cincinnati.
No one in the Shootout got all five of these correct, but there was one individual that was able to get four out of the five correct.
Then we start looking at who was able to correctly pick the Sweet Sixteen. The best in that category was the only one out of 221 entries to pick 14 of 16 teams to advance into the Sweet Sixteen.
Finally, and it would make sense, but this same person scored the most points of anyone during the second round of the Shootout at 67 points.
For picking the most upsets, picking the most games correctly, and scoring the most points in the Second Round, we would like to recognize and award:
BTS SUPREME ULTIMATE WIZARD

IDGIE THREADGOODE

There were three individuals that got 3 out of the 5 teams not seeded #1 - #4 to the Sweet Sixteen. Of those, only one individual was able to pick 13 of the 16 games accurately and finally we see that this individual scored next to the highest number of points in the Second Round. For that we would like to recognize:
BTS ULTIMATE WIZARD

JAY WORTMAN
And since I mentioned it during the first round that I like to reward those that go out on a limb to pick the upsets, we recognize the other two individuals that got 3 of the 5 upsets and were able to pick 12 of 16 games accurately in the Second Round:
WIZARDS OF THE BTS

KYLE NAVARRO
(already an Ultimate Wizard)
JAMES WHILLOCK 2
Okay, okay, I’m feeling generous. Since there were so few to even get twelve of the Sweet Sixteen correct, we will recognize and award:
WIZARDS OF THE BTS

JACOB DONOVAN
NIKKI GAMMACHE
JOSE LAGLE
MATTHEW MURRAY
ANDREW NUCE
JASON WARRICK

TOURNAMENT WIZARDS
In reviewing the tournament as a whole we first looked at our upset masters. In the first two rounds there were games 15 games where the seeds qualified as upset picks. This means in the first round seeds #9 - #16 and in the second round and seeds #5 - #16. We had two individuals that nailed 9 of the 15 games accurately. For that we recognize and award Ultimate Wizard status to:
BTS ULTIMATE WIZARD

KYLE NAVARRO
DELMAR O’DONNELL
There were just five more that were able to pick half of the Second Round games correctly. Again, we reward those that go out on a limb, so we would like to recognize these five as:
WIZARDS

FRANK DOBSON
STEPHANIE PAINTER
BOB REES (already an Ultimate Wizard)
IDGIE THREADGOODE (already a Supreme Ultimate Wizard)
JAMES WHILLOCK 2
In total games, there were 48 games played during he first two rounds of the tournament. It should come as no surprise that the leader in most games picked correctly is also the overall point leader, Kyle Navarro, who picked 37 of the 48 games right. There were two others that picked 36 of the 48 games correctly or a 75% accuracy rate. Those two were Jason Warrick and Jay Wortman. Since Jay and Kyle are already Ultimate Wizards and Jason is already a Wizard, there’s no need to blow trumpets for their ability to pick a couple of upsets along with picking the favorites.

KYLE NAVARRO

has been granted the status of
BTS SUPREME ULTIMATE WIZARD

Kyle took over the lead on Friday night and never lost it at anytime on Saturday or Sunday. Not only did he hold on to his lead, but he also expanded his lead by hitting on 12 of 16 Sweet Sixteen teams but also picking 3 of the 5 upset teams to advance. How can you not be impressed by his picking prowess.
TOP TEN
We know we can't all be in First Place and are just looking to make in onto the first page. Even better than the first page is making it into the Top Ten. These gurus made it into the Top Ten after the First Round and are granted Wizard Status for being there. They are:
BTS ULTIMATE WIZARDS

SHANNON FARRINGTON
FRANK DOBSON
JAY WORTMAN
IDGIE THREADGOODE
DELMAR O'DONNELL
BOB REES
STEPHANIE PAINTER
MATTHEW MURRAY
ERNEST T. BASS

TOP TWENTY FIVE
Not Wizards but worthy of Recognition

Jason Warrick, Andrew Nuce, Zach Grounds, Penny Pumphrey, Ziranda Grounds,
Joy Hornaday, Stanley Macadory,
Nikki Gammache, Mark Ludek 1,
Jacob Donovan, Gary Lessis, Nolan Painter, Kevin Knapp 2, Jayden Painter, Scott Hiatt, and Justin Kokena.

SERIOUSLY, I'M NOT CRAZY!

Really 25 percent? To end up only picking 25% of the games in the second round right makes one question your mental well being. 25% is only getting 4 out of 16 correct. I'd say a coin has better odds of getting 4 out of 16 accurate.
Nice Work.....
